THE PERSON BEHIND DORSEL LAW

Experienced in the courtroom. Personal with every client.

Chris Dorsel is an attorney who has represented and continues to represent clients all over the state of South Carolina. Chris has tried over 50 jury trials as lead counsel on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in both state and federal court. Chris is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, being selected by attorneys from both the plaintiff's and defense bar who are familiar with Chris' trial advocacy.

Dorsel Law primarly handles personal injury matters, but over the course of his career, Chris has handled matters including, insurance defense, civil rights litigation, constitutional law, medical malpractice, breach of contract, ERISA violations, and unfair trade practices.

Chris graduated from the University of South Carolina Law School in 2004 and was licensed to practice later that year. Before law school, Chris attended the University of South Carolina Honors College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a state finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship.  

In addition to the education he earned though college and law school, Chris' various life experiences have shaped his knowledge and understanding. Some of these experiences include teaching English in Japan, driving the Hershey Kissmobile, working on a dude ranch in Colorado, and playing live music at venues across the southeast.

Chris currently lives in the Charelston area with his wife and three children and their dog, Penny.
